American Football

Outside of coding, a big part of my life is playing American Football with the Shropshire Revolution. It's a fantastic team sport that I found during my time at Uni - and I'm really glad I did!

Being part of the Revolution has taught me valuable lessons that extend beyond the field. Understanding the importance of individual roles but also how they work within the wider team, adapting to changing situations, and clear communication are all key aspects of success in football – and surprisingly relevant to how I collaborate and approach problem-solving in software development.

I've been a Wolves season ticket holder since I was a kid and have experienced the ups and downs of following the club. Despite the (more than) occasional frustrations, I love football and going home to Molineux.

Away from a pitch, I'm also a Formula 1 fan. It really grabbed me a few years ago and the high intensity and the different strategies interests me. I'm hoping to finally tick attending a Grand Prix off my bucket list this year!

Video games have been a constant in my life efrom early childhood. That early passion for playing eventually evolved into a curiosity about how they were made. It was through this interest with my brother, that I first discovered the world of programming. This ultimately led me to pursue a degree in Games Development, which was a fantastic journey in understanding the technical side of creating interactive experiences.
